Isla Escape Cottage - Isla Mujeres and Cozumel Isla Escape Mexico
Isla Mujeres is an island offering relaxed village life about six miles from Cancun. Unlike Cancun, Isla Mujeres has centuries of history and generations of native inhabitants.

The island is narrow and flat at the north end; the water is shallow and calm and the beaches have soft sands.

With its coral gardens, reefs and lagoon, Isla Mujeres is an attractive base for snorkeling and diving.

Jet-skies, windsurf boards, and water-tricycles are also available. There are restaurants that serve fresh seafood.

Cozumel is Mexico’s original Caribbean playground.

In 1962, oceanographer Jacques Cousteau proclaimed Cozumel as one of the finest diving sites in the world.

The island is approximately 30 miles long and 10 miles wide, is home to the world`s second largest coral reef and is ringed by some 30 dive sites, most of them concentrated along the west coast.

There are more than 60 scuba diving shops operating in Cozumel. The abundance of reefs and the opening of a golf course attracts visitors from around the world. The Cozumel Country Club, partly owned by Clubs Corporation of America, includes an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus signature golf course, clubhouse and botanical gardens.
