Quintana Roo is one of the three states in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.

It has a tropical climate, jungle, marsh, mangroves and coast, its offshore reefs form part of the second longest barrier system in the world next to the Great Barrier in Australia.

Quintana Roo shares borders with Belize and Guatemala to the south and the states of Veracruz and Campeche to the west.

Its shoreline is bathed by the Gulf of Mexico to the north and the Caribbean to the east.

Quintana Roo is divided into eight zones, each with its own unique characteristics.

Eight zones include Cancun, Holbox, Isla Mujeres, Cozumel, Riviera Maya, Costa Maya, Provincia Maya, Chetumal.

The coastal zone of the Caribbean Sea is a very valuable region for Mexico in ecological, social and economic terms because of its great diversity of ecosystems, inhabitants, cultural heritage and the development of important economic activities.

Cancun-Riviera Maya, which is located on the East Coast of Quintana Roo, facing the Caribbean Sea, with its approximately 180 km coastline, it is a worldwide-recognised international tourist destination.

The opportunity to explore the beautiful white sand beaches and clear blue sea is truly magical.
